So, what's up? This would be my first journal entry for over a year. I haven't really been keeping up to date with everyone here lately and that kinda puts me in a regretful mood. I've been just stalking artsy stuff, and not bothering to leave a comment or two. And that, I just realized, is most ungrateful of me. Recently I see these influence maps here and there and it just struck me that the greatest influence for my growth as an artist is this community, Deviantart.

I cannot name all of the artists that have been my inspirations, but I can say that most of them I found here. If you guys have noticed my gallery is a bit out of whack. I've always had to try out certain art styles whenever I see some artist execute his/her specific style very well. Many times I was tempted to delete it and start a new, as an attempt to produce a more consistent collection.

But then, it has been a testament of my growth, and this community has nested and nurtured it. I can't be really certain that I have found my own style, but I'm getting there. I feel it. I feel my momentum building up.

So to those in my watch list and the artists of the artwork found in my faves whom I failed to express my gratitude, I say thank you. Thank you for your presence and for sharing your gifts. In many ways you have tinted my accomplishments and aspirations.
